A forensics expert hired by Carradine's family has said the Kill Bill star did not commit suicide, but stressed that a final cause of death was still to be determined.Forensic pathologist Michael Baden said initial investigations into the death of the 72-year-old actor, found hanging in a Bangkok hotel room last week, indicated he had not killed himself."The autopsy findings and the evidence thus far available demonstrate that Mr Carradine's death was not the result of suicide," Baden said in a statement released by a spokesman for the Carradine family."However, to reach a final determination as to the cause and the manner of death we must wait for further information from Thailand as to the scene findings and the completion of the crime laboratory and toxicology studies that are still being performed."Baden, who has appeared as an expert defense witness in several high-profile US murder trials, most notably those of American football star O.J. Simpson and music producer Phil Spector, had carried out a second autopsy on CarradineThai police have said they suspect Carradine died from a sex act that went wrong after his body was discovered on June 4 hanging from a wardrobe rail in a Bangkok hotel room, naked and with ropes attached to his neck and penis.Carradine, star of 1970s TV series Kung Fu and the hit Kill Bill movies, was in the Thai capital to shoot a film to be titled Stretch. An initial autopsy report revealed that the actor died from a sudden lack of oxygen and his body showed no signs of struggle.A Thai forensic expert told AFP the death appeared to have been caused by auto-erotic asphyxiation, the practice of intentionally cutting off oxygen to the brain for sexual arousal.Family and friends of Carradine have all rejected suggestions the actor was suicidal. The actor's brother Keith Carradine thanked fans for messages of support received since news of the death broke."First of all, we would like to thank everyone for their heartfelt expressions of love and sympathy for what we are going through," Carradine said in a statement Thursday."This is a devastating loss for our family and we greatly appreciate the compassion pouring in from all over the world."We wish to express our gratitude to the government of Thailand and the Lumpini Police Station in Bangkok for their support and cooperation and to the US Department of State for their assistance."
Gail Jensen HIS EX WIFE made the comments in an interview with radaronline.com just days after the actor, 72, was found dead in a Bangkok hotel room amid speculation that he hanged himself accidentally when a bizarre sexual practice known as autoerotic asphyxiation went fatally wrong."He had his kinky moments," Jensen said, though she insisted that she had never known him to indulge in the potentially deadly practice that ultimately killed him. However she did say that she'd often discover her husband nearly naked and bound at the wrists."He told me it was for meditation because of all the pressure on his life and things, so he'd tie himself up and relax, and I mean, I didn't think it was a horrible thing, but to me, it was a little weird," she said. Her comments came amid reports that a former New York City coroner would conduct an autopsy of Carradine's body in Los Angeles to ascertain the details of the death.

PHUKET : The woman who sparked an international incident when she stole a 2,000 baht beer mat from the Aussie Bar in Patong has now been banned from travelling to the US. Australian mother of three Annice Smoel, 36, has been forced to cancel a planned trip to Disneyland after the US embassy in her home city of Melbourne refused her application for a visa, based on her conviction in Phuket last month.Smoel was arrested and kept in a police cell for 48 hours after she was caught leaving the popular Aussie Bar in Soi Bangla with the 1.5-metre beer mat stuffed into her handbag. When undercover police stopped her outside the bar, she tried to flee, and when she was eventually caught abused the arresting officers.Smoel demanded to be taken to Kathu police station, where she continued to abuse police, including senior officers.Smoel later claimed the theft was a "prank" and that her friends had put the beer mat into her handbag without her knowledge. The story became front page news in Australia after Smoel's husband contacted a talkback radio station, claiming his wife was being kept in a Thai prison.Australian media initially sympathised with Smoel's plight, but the tide turned against her when the full facts were finally revealed.Smoel eventually admitted her crime, was convicted, given a six-month suspended sentence and fined 1,000 baht.Phuket governor Wichai Praisa-nob personally paid the fine, publicly apologised to Smoel and told her she would be welcome to return to Thailand anytime she wished. But as soon as she was safely home on Australian soil, Smoel started bad-mouthing Thailand, Phuket and the Thai people, doing irreparable damage to Phuket's tourism industry. She sold her story to an Australian women's magazine for a reported 650,000 baht and said she planned to use the money to take her three daughters, Zhian, 12, Daisy, 11, and Lilly, six, on a dream trip to Disneyland in California. But Smoel discovered this week that US authorities are not as forgiving as the Thais. Her application for a US tourist visa was refused on the basis that she is now officially listed on US databases as a convicted thief. She has been forced to cancel the family's dream trip to Disneyland, and her daughters are reportedly "devastated". Smoel said she was told by US embassy officials that the ban on her entering the US would remain in force for as long as seven years."My girls will be all grown up by then," she said.

“THE BEACHES” PATTAYA PROPERTY FRAUD
On the 7th June PDN reported the arrest of Mr. George Carl Morgan (40), the VP of Pattaya’s prestigious “The Beaches” project, on fraud charges. Mr. Morgan is alleged to have sold false contracts to customers and to have embezzled up to 200 million baht received as deposit payments. He remains in detention in a Bangkok prison. Today (24th June 2009) PDN interviewed two potential victims of the scam – Mr. Grant Babinyan, the executive director of farang.ru, the exclusive agent for “The Beaches” in Russia, together with one of his Russia clients, Mr. Yuri Kunnik.
A very concerned Mr. Kunnik, who has paid about two million baht to the project, showed us copies of his purchase contract and receipts. The documents contain three different versions of the company stamp which, according to the developer, Mr.Laikat Dhanji, have been identified as forgeries. Mr. Kunnik is not demanding his money back, but just requires acknowledgement from the developer that the payments are recognised. So far he has received no such assurance from Mr. Dhanji. Mr. Babinyan told us that he has 10 clients in a similar situation. He is also seriously concerned about the lack of progress in the project’s construction.
Apparently, George Morgan had forged the company seal and was telling the clients he dealt with that he had a special deal and could offer them 50% discounts, but they should tell no-one what he was offering otherwise the contracts would be cancelled by the boss i.e. Mr. Laikat; by this method, he maintained secrecy, which is how, presumably, he was able to pull off the scam.
We then asked the question on everyone’s lips, “Are you prepared to recompense the clients who have lost out?” Mr. Laikat replied that it was on George’s shoulders and was not his responsibility. What Mr. Laikat wanted, he said, was for clients who had suffered to attempt to sue George Morgan, themselves, rather than his company. NOW WOULD YOU INVEST IN THIS PROJECT IF THE MD SAID THESE WORDS???
We then asked the other salient question, “When is the Beaches going to get off the ground, that is, to actually start building?” to which Mr. Laikat replied that the schedule had now been changed. Rather than starting to build the hotels, first, which had been held up at the bureaucratic level due to constant changes in the EIA (Environusntal Impact Assessusnt) regulations, the order of construction was going to start with the building of the Water Theme Park, which he assured us is due to start at the end of July or early August.
Now, we were prepared to let things ride and see what happened, but a few days ago PDN was approached by one of The Beaches’ major agents, Farang.ru, a Russian real estate agency active all around Thailand, who were very concerned about certain of their clients’ contracts with the Beaches, namely, that virtually all of them had different seals and signatures on them.
The MD of Farang.ru, Mr. Grant Babinyan, told PDN that they had dealt virtually exclusively with George Morgan, who had always been represented by the company as being their main interface with the world, so when anyone ever called at the Beaches sales office, they were automatically directed to George. Consequently, of the 10 contracts all told that they have with the company, they are not sure whether any are bona fide or not and so far, nobody at the Beaches is prepared to clarify matters.
